Heba separated from her husband for this reason because her husband discovered her mental disorder after the wedding, and the Minya Psychiatric Hospital wrote a report on Heba's condition and indicated that she is not able to make decisions.
On May 2024, Heba Atef's family filed a police report. Certificate of Islamization Recently on February-March 2025, after Heba Atef's family lost hope of finding her, her father has extracted a copy of her birth certificate after finding a certificate of islamization in Heba's name that was circulated on Facebook, and indeed after extracting a copy of her birth certificate, Heba's name was changed and her religion was changed from Christianity to Islam, and by law the islamization certificate in Heba's name is considered invalid because she is not responsible for her actions due to her mental illness, and Heba's family has official reports from hospitals in Minya confirming that Hiba is unaware of what she is doing. And we ask the following questions: 1-How can Al-Azhar issue an islamization certificate in the name Heba, the Christian woman who is mentally ill and unable to make any decisions, as confirmed by official medical reports 2-how did the Ministry of Justice certify an islamization certificate on behalf of Heba Atef who is mentally ill and not qualified to make any decisions 3-How the Ministry of Interior changed the official papers and personal data of Heba Atef in the civil registry and changed her name and religion from Christianity to islam, she is mentally ill and not qualified to make any decisions, as stated in the official medical reports. |

Mariam Samir Fayez Hakim is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Home Economics at Al-Arish University, Sinai, Egypt.
She was abducted on Sunday, July 30, 2023 by Muslims.
After returning from Al-Menoufia governorate where she was preparing her master's thesis at Menoufia University, she arrived at Al-Marj station, in Cairo, to go to her home in Al-Arish, Sinai, Egypt. When she was at Al-Marj station, Mariam called her father that day and informed him that she was going home.
After the call, her phone was turned off and she was kidnapped.
- After that, her father first went to Al-Menoufia to inquire about his daughter who was there before going to the Al-Marj station in Cairo, and in Al-Menoufia, they informed him that they knew nothing about Mariam his daughter.
- Her father went after to file a police report with the Security Directorate of Al-Menoufia.
And at the Security Directorate of Al-Menoufia, they refused to fill out a report on the absentee/kidnapped on the grounds that this is not her place of residence.
- Then her father had to go to Cairo to file a police report in the Al-Marj police district on the grounds that his daughter had called from Al-Marj during the last call.
And in the Al-Marj police district (Cairo), they also refused to fill out a report for the same reason.
